How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents (Plume Contemporary Fiction)
By Julia Alvarez

It's not been a full month since I updated last, that's a small improvement. Things are going crazy here! Wedding plans are slow. . . hey, does anyone who was recently married have any tips for me here. . . beyond guest lists and finding the right venue (neither of which have been accomplished), I'm not really sure where to go. . . it's all so confusing and exciting at the same time!

Aside from that, classes start soon. I have to finish up the last of my required gen-eds before I can test into the nursing program. I'm still waiting on results from a scholarship that would have my college this year pretty much taken care of (which would be amazing!!). Not much else happening at the moment. Just sitting bored at work at the Clubhouse. . .fun fun! Hope to talk to everyone soon!

PS. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY!

Ok, so I'm really bad at updating. Everything has been really crazy lately. I'm working 2 jobs right now to hopefully be able to afford the upcoming expenses. . . that will be explained later. The first job is at DeBrand Fine Chocolates, which most of my friends know is one of my favorite places in the entire world. Actually, just check out their website and all chocolate lovers will completely understand why I love this place! -- www.debrand.com -- My second job of the moment is driving back and forth between 2 branches of the Kelley Automotive Superstore in Fort Wayne and Huntington. Lots of driving, but they pay $9/hr!!! So, all in all, I work all day, and then many evenings, I work all night, thus explaining the lack of updates. . .

My other amazing news (and I'm sorry to the people that I haven't been able to call--I've just been so excited that I can't remember who I have and haven't told!)-- is that I'M ENGAGED!!! We're trying to plan a wedding for next June, on a very limited budget. So, if anyone could pray for that, I'd really appreciate it! I'm so excited for everything that's going on in the next year or so. . . it's going to be crazy, but I get the feeling I'm going to love every minute of it! I've gotta get going now though, hopefully all is well with everyone!

Lots of Love!

You Are Midnight
You are more than a little eccentric, and you're apt to keep very unusual habits.
Whether you're a nightowl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence - you like to experiment with your lifestyle.
Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it.
You enjoy staying home, but that doesn't mean you're a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends.

GOOD NEWS!! Turns out that my general practitioner doctor misread my lupus test. The specialist that I went to had a lot of the blood tests re-taken as well as took new tests (a grand total of 7 tubes worth! ouch!). Thankfully, they all came back in "normal" range, which means. . . I don't have lupus! Yay! That's such a relief. I do have fibromyalgia, which is difficult to explain. But that doesn't require so many crazy medications and isn't a disease that could become fatal. I'm so relieved! Thanks for your prayers everyone!

Carried Me: The Worship Project

So, I promised I would post again to let everyone know what's going on. I've had lots of blood tests etc. done for Lupus, and yesterday I found out that I tested a "low positive" on the Lupus panel (whatever that means. . . ). Likelihood is that I have Lupus, but I still have to go to a specialist to get some more tests done, yuck! I would still appreciate your prayers, but things are going ok. Worse comes to worse, I have to rearrange my lifestyle a little bit to include things like more sleep and stuff like that. That's all for now. I have to go finish some homework. Talk to you all soon!
